Pulaski bridge traverses Queens and Brooklyn, at Long Island City on the Queens side into Greenpoint on the Brooklyn side. It’s a pretty walk going across, catching the skyline of both Queens and Manhattan. We walked right after sundown and it was ethereal, magnetic. The scenery changed from gritty industrial, interspersed with trendy bars and eateries on the LIC side to sleek and modern apartment buildings inhabited by 20-something bankers in Greenpoint. I don’t know the going rental rate for those fancy Brooklyn penthouse apartments with garden boxes and patio sets, but wouldn’t it be something to sit out on one of those prized balconies, listening to some jazz and sipping a dirty martini?
